Developing and working with informants/ confidential sources

The use of confidential sources, also known as informants, is an accepted tool the police investigator can use to help build solid criminal investigations and cases. Patrol officers and detectives can develop these sources but it must be done properly.  Lt Joe looks at where we can find these people, and how to work with them properly.
